Keeping up the pace set by his acclaimed debut "Respond In Silence" 12", Demian Castellanos, now known as The Oscillation, delivered this EP in October 2006.
On the A-Side, the vocal mix of 'Violations' is a beat heavy juggernaut of a track. Mixed by Tim Holmes of Death In Vegas, this is a ravenously hungry, flesh-ripping attack of strung out vocals, Can-inspired rhythms, a menacing Jah Wobble-Sequa bass-line, screaming guitars and some serious sonic synthesis. Next up the "Violations" (Dub), offers a stripped-down take of the title track, this time focusing on the pounding drums and monstrous bass-line; elements that combine to create a 23 Skidoo-esque club track for no-nonsense dance fiends and maladjusted home listeners alike. On the B-side we find Comatone, a clubbed then dubbed eight minute instrumental epic that moves the feet then melts the mind with equal fury. |
