For this ante meridian excursion, necromancers Richard Sen & Neil Beatnik gather their legions of the un-dead for another trip to Beelzebub's Discotheque, a small hours speak easy where the flotsam and jetsam of the night congregate beneath a canopy of tribal rhythms and nocturnal sounds.
For 'Are You Anywhere?', tight rhythms and a disco funk bass-line come together to provide the perfect vehicle for Padded Cell's trademark synth stylings and hypnotic atmospherics. By setting up this undulating club groove, the dastardly duo lure the listener into a false sense of security before going for the jugular with some vicious horn stabs and percussive slashes; beware, this is macabre sound of dark genius. On the flipside the characteristically spell binding "Konkorde Lafayette" draws the listener yet deeper into the confines of the Padded Cell. As the drums punch out a gritty rhythm, bass, vocal samples, saxophone and staccato guitars creep into the mix, creating a backdrop for a mesmerising synth appeggio that marks this track out as a future club classic.
