Moving on from the soundtrack stylings of 'Ito Calculus', The Octogon Man steps towards the dancefloor with 'Magneton', a finely tuned selection of electro jams that, despite being produced using predominantly vintage equipment, are ultra modern in their execution.
The soothing strings of 'Genotype X' demonstrate Kane's impeccable ear for melody, before he shakes things up with some stuttering glitch ridden, rhythms. 'Kwaidan' increases the pace and 'Nova Wave' provides an ambient calm before the pulsating darkness of 'Metron Wave'. Additionally, tracks like 'Skanning Pattern' display innovative programming skills and 'All the Happy Robots' features the Dutch audio-visual genius Eboman. All in all, a distinctive outing for the complex and unfathomable J. Saul Kane.
