The Carmel Conclusion is another instrumental hip hop gem from Tom Tyler. The title track features the precise cuts of DJ Grazzhoppa (Greedy Fingers) and is followed by the eerie breaks and twisted samples of "A Funny Turn". For the flipside, Tyler drafts in J. Swinscoe's Cinematic Orchestra (Ninja Tune) who re-work "Ode to the Lizard" into a Latin flavored percussion jam, complete with groove heavy live instrumentation. "Jonny and the Elephant" rounds things off, dropping the tempo as slo-mo beats sleepily trip across a spacey canvas.
